HySecurity is seeking a Buyer to lead the day to day procurement process at its headquarters location in Kent, Washington. HySecurity is a leading designer and manufacturer of premier perimeter security equipment. Our products are valued for their innovation and reliability. They are actively installed in some of the most secure facilities including foreign embassies, Fort Knox, military installations, and key industrial complexes all over the world. Position Summary and Principal Responsibility:

This Buyer is responsible for operator component purchasing and operations support. This includes negotiating component purchases from suppliers as well as issuing and evaluating vendor quotes to determine the best quality suppliers for HySecurity. This role interfaces with the business regarding all procurement activity, project management of custom equipment orders, and metrics reporting. This is a “hands on” role – expect to work directly with receiving, production, engineering and other departments to fulfill job responsibilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Purchasing and Operations Support
  • Use SAGE200 Purchasing Module for PO issuance, reporting and processing.
  • Daily review of purchasing reports and demand forecasts to ensure all needed components are on order.
  • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and evaluate bids based on quality, service capability and price.
  • Make recommendations to streamline and support accurate inventory and uninterrupted materials flow to production.
  • Manage performance of outsourced service providers.
  • Maintain accuracy of purchasing database information.
  • Manage movement of long lead time and high risk components to HySecurity.
  • Transportation tracking to support international inbound shipments.
  • Procurement support for custom equipment sales orders.
  • Provide leadership and skills development to other department buyers.
B. Sourcing Activities
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on quality, service, capability and price.
  • Analyze RFQs to determine best suppliers for HySecurity.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers.
  • Sourcing with management of low cost country suppliers.
  • Confer with HySecurity Engineering and Quality Assurance in all sourcing activities.
  • Administer supplier report cards.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing program for indentifying and qualifying alternate and replacement suppliers.
C. Other Duties as Assigned.

Computer Skills: MSWord, Excel (pivot tables, graphs, advanced functions), PowerPoint, SAGE200

Education and/or Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Integrated Supply Chain Management, or equivalent education.
  • Purchasing experience with metal fabrication, including sheet metal, machining, and heavy steel weldments preferred. Experience with electromechanical components such as motors and electronics desirable. Must be able to match a given part with a supplier’s capabilities by interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Ability to assimilate and understand the application of a very broad group of components to the purchasing function.
  • Customer driven focus and excellent communication skills.
  • Certification(s) from APICS, ISM or other established supply chain organization(s).
Background and Experience:
  • 1-3 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment – PO issuance, front line problem resolution internally and externally, exception-based management.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve financial performance, specifically in cost reduction and increased inventory turns.
  • New product introduction experience – understand the process.
  • Engineering change management experience – specifically the relationship to supply chain and purchasing.
  • LEAN principles training, experience, and/or certifications.

Language: Bilingual Spanish preferred
Physical Requirement: May be required to lift up to 50lbs

Marketing Specialist/Production Graphic Specialist

Summary:

Responsible for working with multiple departments in managing key product data and content used to update our price book catalog and website. Assist Marketing Department with prep and design for print or digital marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite software platforms, under the direction of the Visual Brand Manager. This person will also be responsible for additional marketing assistant duties as assigned by the Marketing Project Manager and other marketing department personnel.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Graphic Production
  • Manage product data collection from various departments, input into product data, layout and produce price book catalog twice a year.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team; Visual brand designer, marketing project manager, website developer and VP of marketing to create marketing campaign components and project processes.
  • Produce marketing collateral documents including draft designs, forms, price books, cutsheets, or other documents. Edit and update existing marketing collateral under the direction of the Visual Brand Manager and other marketing staff. Prepare supplied artwork for printer, and digital platforms, resolve artwork issues that arise during production.
  • Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation. Prepare images for print, web and video applications.
  • Catalog and reference artwork for future projects.
  • Other department projects and responsibilities in addition to graphic production as assigned by the Marketing Project Manager and Visual Brand Manager
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Certificate or Associate Degree from college or technical school; and 3-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with references and portfolio that represents your skills.

Production Assembler (numerous openings)
Education Required: HS + Experience/AA
Hourly: $13 - $18 per hour
Reports to: Operations Manager
Candidate Profile: Must have 3-5 years production assembly experience in a lean manufacturing environment that utilizes a documented quality program. Quick-learning, organized, detail-oriented, quality minded individual to assemble the best gate operators in the world. Duties include Mechanical and/or electronic assembly of assemblies or sub-assemblies.
